Mack – so glad you commented on this. Robyn is a beautiful soul, and I don’t dispute the veracity of her heartfelt sentiments on this topic. But I have to disagree that I am brave. I was scared to death. And though I’ve yet to finish the story on my blog, I will tell you that my reactions and decisions throughout the ordeal of my sexual harassment saga were more like “What choice do I have?” than any bravery on my part.

Your comment to this post reminds me to get back to finishing the story. I wasn’t brave when I felt uncomfortable. It took escalation for me to step up and make a sexual harassment complaint. And it took two attorneys, one nurturing and encouraging, one ruthless in battle, to give me the growth and empowerment I needed to get through a long ordeal.

But thank you for your kind words. They feel good, even if I don’t feel like I was brave. I do feel like a survivor. I am!
