Having children that have grown up and flown the coop as well as little ones still at home, I know well how quickly they grow and their needs change. Right now, my 7 year old can't get enough time and attention from me. Of course there are several more children wanting the same, but last night, I spent time looking at the world through Alayah's eyes. Her view is full of life and joy. I think that trap is an a constant lure, from which we escape time to time, only to fall back into it. Last night was a moment of escape. Our kids are little for such a short time! They will always need our love, but the physical togetherness needs change as they get older. She's so cute! I can't wait for Stephy to get big. Although I'm still trying to cling after the baby years that are disappearing.
